Letter of appreciation from University of Wisconsin
Computing for Humanity, formerly known as Cancer Computer, received a letter from Timothy Cartwright, Deputy Executive Director, Open Science Grid at the University of Wisconsin - Madison thanking the charity for its recent donation of 10 servers. These new servers will be put to use helping researchers computing for the cure at the Open Science Grid (OSG) and the University of Wisconsin–Madison Center High Throughput Computing (CHTC).
“We want you to know that we are most grateful for this gift,” says Cartwright. “Less than 20% of the total University budget now comes from the State of Wisconsin, and private support — such as yours — is helping us maintain and enhance the University.”
